At the end of April 2026, Modus Gastronomia opened at 35 Giovanni Battista Pirelli Street, in the Pirelli 35 complex in Porta Nuova, the skyscraper and office district where Milan moves at its fastest pace. On May 14, Paolo De Simone inaugurated it with those who once again chose Modus's Cilento.
Between April and May, the opening was covered by many publications, from industry trade journals to Milanese newspapers.
A break within the city's rhythm
"Porta Nuova is one of the city's most central and contemporary hubs, a place where the pace is always fast," De Simone explained. "Bringing Modus here means creating a space where food keeps its own pace, even when everything around is rushing."
Agenda Viaggi added: "With Modus, we want to introduce a possible pause, where food retains its authenticity even amid the urban frenzy."
Eroi del Gusto called it "an urban Cilento oasis." Agenda Viaggi chose a more direct title: "Modus conquers Porta Nuova."
From breakfast to after-work takeaway
Modus Gastronomia accompanies the entire day for those who live and work in the area: breakfast, lunch break, aperitivo, and takeaway in the evening. The kitchen receives raw ingredients from Cilento producers with whom Modus has a direct and continuous relationship, starting with the ancient grains of the Consorzio dei Coltivatori Custodi. The preparations follow the times and methods of Cilento tradition, the same Mediterranean Diet for which De Simone is an Ambassador.
